Even though winter is in full swing, it is never too early
to start thinking about the warmer months of summer. Over the past few weeks we have really seen
the forces of winter. Between the snow
days and the extremely cold temperatures of the polar vortex, we are all
starting to long for the months when we can get outside in t-shirts and enjoy
the sunshine.
With that thought in mind, I bring up the Science Museum’s
Summer Camp. Summer Camp here at the
Museum is a great way for children to hang out with friends and be outdoors all
while participating in hands on activities and experiments. Not only do the children have fun but they
are learning at the same time.
If you already have thoughts of summer running through your
head, maybe your child does as well, than consider signing up for one or more
weeks of our 8 week Summer Camp. If you
sign up now through February 1st, you will receive a $25 per week camp
discount and a guaranteed spot.
If you
are undecided or have questions for the museum staff consider stopping by our
Summer Camp Open House next Saturday, February 1st from
9am-12pm.
Even though there is snow on the ground and the temperatures
are below freezing, try to think about the warm summer months and what your
child will be doing to occupy their time off from school. We look forward to seeing everyone here at
Summer Camp. Personally, it is one of my
favorite parts about working at the Science Museum.
PS: Summer Camp 2014 Program Guides are in stock. If you would like your very own copy it can be downloaded directly from our website or you can pick up a copy in our lobby.
